Generosity of Spirit

Through the Silent Auction, we’ve met new friends of ESA – the Levene family of Waterloo, Ontario. Shirley Levene contacted us to donate artwork, in memory of her teenage son, Leejay. In July 2007, Leejay died during routine oral surgery. Leejay was a passionate musician (clarinet and bass) and artist on his way to the University of Toronto, then the plan was to pursue a Master’s in Architecture.

To honour his memory and celebrate what he cared about, the family raises funds though Leejay’s art. Previous fundraisers include Habitat for Humanity, the Grand River Hospital Foundation, the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony, The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, the Humane Society and now the students of ESA. On November 17th, we invite you to bid on some gorgeous artwork as well as cards and a calendar.
