Poetry Month at ESA

Poetry Month begins tomorrow, April 1st.  This year’s theme is Poetry City.

Featured contests:

  • Poetry Bookmark Contest
  • Drummond Poetry Contest
  • Great Blue Heron Poetry Contest (and the Sheldon Currie Fiction Contest)

There are copies of the information sheets for each of the above at the Library Circulation Desk, or see your English teacher.

The Collaborative Urban Poem Project: Physical and Digital

  • The Physical Poem
  • Poem to be created on a giant sheet of paper on the big Library whiteboard.
  • The idea is to create a city of/with words.

Other ESA activities/events:

  • There is also a bulletin board display outside the Library.  We will be building a city made of poems, day by day, over the course of the month.
  • There will also be poetry readings on the announcements each day.
  • Miscellaneous will be back.  Date(s) TBA.
