2016 is the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
- The Toronto Public Library is hosting a number of events relating to all things Shakespearean.

The ESA library will be throwing a party to celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday (and deathday) on Friday, April 22nd.
- During the lunchhour we will be hosting a Shakespeare sonnet and monologue speaking contest.
- All interested students are invited to prepare their favourite Shakespearean monologue and/or sonnet and be ready to perform.
- Prizes will be awarded.
Lastly, the ESA Library has four (4) tickets – two pairs – to give away to hear Professor Jeremy Lopez speak on prophecy, murder and spectacle in Macbeth, and the dramatic legacy of Scotland’s most treacherous King.
- This event will be held at the Appel Salon – at the Toronto Reference Library – on Tuesday March 8th.
