The ESA Library has six (6) tickets – three pairs – to give away to see Olympian Clara Hughes, who will be presenting this year’s 10th Annual June Callwood Lecture.
Ms. Hughes is Bell Canada’s national spokesperson for the ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign, and the author of Open Heart, Open Mind. Clara also successfully defended Lawrence Hill’s most recent novel, The Illegal, in this year’s Canada Reads contest (where she wowed this avid reader!).
Ms. Hughes will share her past struggles with depression – and the work she does to help break down the stigma associated with mental illness – at the Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library on Wednesday May 25th.
Q&A, as well as a book signing, to follow the lecture.
While this event is free to attend, donations are welcome and will be shared equally between Toronto Public Library Foundation and Jessie’s: The June Callwood Centre for Young Women.
This event is SOLD OUT! If you want to go but haven’t got tickets, this is your chance.
