A Thousand Nights by EK Johnston
- A solid – and decidedly feminist – take on Sheherazade and the 1,001 Arabian nights. This is a book that should be read.
- Girl power rules and, ultimately, the day – indeed, the kingdom – is saved.
- Also the “blending” of the mystical/religious/political/scientific elements – past and present – is skillfully done (as was similarly done in The Story of Owen, by the same author).
