Library – and Internet – Access: Week of October 23rd

We have another busy week in the Library – indeed at ESA – this week, with some very special special events.

Monday Oct 23rd to Wed Oct 25th

  • Library CLOSED all periods except Grade 10 Major (Per 2 and Per 6)
  • Laura Freeman, Toronto Public Library Outreach Librarian, will be with us for Lest We Forget… an opportunity for ALL Grade 10 History students to engage with Primary Source materials belonging to soldiers who fought in WWI
  • Refer to the attached schedule of classes.

 

Thursday Oct 26th

  • Final Friday Fun Day is rescheduled to Monday October 30th on account of our special guest for the afternoon.
  • Join us for fun and games and treats!

 

  • The Library will be CLOSED all afternoon for sessions with one of our favourites: Visiting Author Don Aker.
  • Don will be working with students in select Grade 9 classes.
  • All Grade 9 and 10 students have the opportunity to work with a minimum of one Visiting Author during the course of the year.  Refer to the attached schedule.

 

  • ****Please also note that on Thursday October 26th there will be NO TDSB network access AT ALL at ESA as we are moved over to the new Bell Wide Area Network (WAN).
  • There will be no internet access… including HomeDrives, Shared Drives, all AW sites, Google Drive, Chromebook/Chromebox access

 

Friday Oct 27th… ESA’s first ever in house University Fair!!!!

  • University Fair at lunch!
  • Representatives from a number of Universities will be in the Library at lunch to chat with.
  • CLOSED second period for set-up.
  • CLOSED after lunch for knock-down.
