STEM Council sends best wishes with a chemis-tree

Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) council wishes you a safe and happy holiday!  Now that the winter solstice is passed, the amount of daylight will increase daily until the summer solstice in June.  To celebrate the light, check out our beautiful crystal tree, made by STEM council students by reacting copper with silver nitrate.  The branches of this evergreen are actually tiny silver crystals, viewed under the microscope.   If you’re interested in science and you’d like to join, please see Mrs. Janisse for info or come to a meeting.  STEM council meets every other Wednesday at lunch in room 108.  Until the new year, all the best to you and yours!
