Meeting at ESA Monday 18th June

As I am sure you are aware, as many of you were there, there was a meeting in the School Library to discuss some serious concerns raised by members of the School Community. The meeting was described as:

“An important message for the ESA community… to continue this important conversation about identity, bias, anti-Black racism, and supporting success for all students.”

I am dismayed that these issues exist, and I hope that a satisfactory resolution can be reached in the near future.

I sat at the back of the Library listening intently to what everyone had to say, and I can honestly say that I am so glad to be part of a school community that is so passionate about the welfare of the students and the continuing strength of the school.

This is why I joined School Council, i.e. to help the students achieve their potential and to work with the school community to ensure the ongoing success of the school.

I heard so many passionate members of the school community say that they have ideas on how to improve things, and we feel that the School Council is one of the ways for you to voice your ideas and help us to fulfill them.  We need your help to bring these ideas to fruition, and I hope to see many of you at the next School Council Meeting, which is scheduled for 11 September 2018 in the School Library.

This meeting has shown how strong our community spirit is.

Please come and join the School Council Team and help us identify and achieve some goals for the future of our community.

Together Everyone Achieves More

I look forward to seeing you soon,

Kind Regards

Simon  Wild
