Arts in the Parks!

There are some great arts events going on in our city parks this summer and they are all free! Please read below for more information on this wonderful series of activities; there are also volunteer opportunities for students and their families (this is not a TDSB event).  This program is supported by the Toronto Arts Foundation and the Toronto Arts Council (full disclosure, I sit on the Board of Directors for the TAC).

ARTS IN THE PARKS:  FREE ARTS EVENTS IN A TORONTO PARK NEAR YOU.

Toronto has become an international summer hotspot as our city buzzes with energy and culture during those blissful summer days and nights. This summer, Toronto will be coming alive as never before with an exciting new initiative called Arts in the Parks. Think music, theatre and dance … think film, arts installations and performance. Everywhere throughout the city from Etobicoke to Scarborough and North York to the downtown core. All of it completely family-friendly and free! Events include vaudevillian style theatre in Panorama Park, an outdoor streetdance event in Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens, an ongoing concert series featuring different musicians every Wednesday in Earl Bales Park and more. Join us for the biggest, most inclusive arts initiative that Toronto has ever seen. Visit www.artsintheparksTO.org for full events listings, dates and details.
