Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers, Students and Staff of Etobicoke School of the Arts,
I am writing to inform you that Principal Grant Fawthrop has been appointed to the position of Superintendent of Education in the York Region District School Board, effective September 1, 2022.
We are grateful for the exemplary leadership that Mr. Fawthrop has provided to the ESA community of learners for the past three and a half years. He has demonstrated a deep commitment to the students, staff and community and his leadership has resulted in incredible learning opportunities for all students. His knowledge and expertise, focus on equity, commitment to building community connections as well as his dedication to the school have had a positive impact that will continue well into the future. Please join us in expressing our sincere appreciation for Mr. Fawthrop and congratulating him on his new role.
