ESA Big Screen Student Film Festival

School Council is pleased to announce that through parent volunteer efforts there will be a student film festival.

The BIG SCREEN STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL will take place on Wednesday, February 20 at the Queensway Cineplex Odeon Cinema at 1025 the Queensway (at Islington) at 4:00 pm, doors open at 3:45pm.

Students’ 60-second films from grades 9 – 12 will be screened.  Industry professionals such as editors, directors, sound designers, animators, music composers, film distributors, etc. will be attending the event, and they will hand out special merit awards in a few categories, after the screening.

This is a great opportunity for students, and their friends and families to see and hear their films in a big screen movie theatre setting (and they can get popcorn…).

Tickets will be on sale during lunch hours in the main foyer, starting Tuesday, February 12th. Limited seats so get your tickets soon.

All tickets for students and adults will be $5.00

Deadline for film submissions is Monday Feb 11th.

See you at the movies!

Please note that while this is an event for ESA Film students, their friends and family, it is not a Board or school sanctioned event. There will be no school staff supervisors at this event.
