On Friday, ESA joined schools across the TDSB in observing a minute of silence, remembering those who are victims of bullying. In response to the recent suicide of Amanda Todd, every school stopped at 11:00 to think about the issue of bullying in schools and online. In true ESA spirit, this moment was preceded with thought-provoking music and the visuals in each classroom of heart-breaking statistics about bullying, followed by silence. The “I WIll Make It Better Project” also contributed to the day by holding an education session for some Grade 10 students on the realities of bullying and how each student can make it better. These students, along with ESA alumni Jacques St. Pierre and Mr. Ambrose, continue to advocate for greater awareness of bullying in schools and cyber-bullying as the “I WIll Make It Better Project” expands its presence.
