FACES (Family, Alumni and Community of ESA Sing) is ESA’s pop up community choir! We started it up last January-February and after seven weeks of rehearsals, culminated with a wonderful concert “Show me a Smile”, featuring ESA alumni, students, family and community members coming together. It was a huge success with over 60 members signed up, and many singers commented on what a positive, enriching and connecting experience it was. Not to mention, we sounded fabulous!
Our second round of FACES starts October 3rd, 2018 on WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 7:00pm – 8:30pm at ESA. There will be Six weeks of Wednesday rehearsals followed by a performance in mid-November (TBD). (No rehearsal on Halloween)
COST: Sign up early and save! $60 if paid online by August 31st, $70 on or after Sept. 1st.

Please note: Online payment is strongly preferred as it is much easier to manage and track. Even if you do not have a student in the TDSB, you can sign up for a SchoolCashOnline account by clicking Register Now on the login page. If necessary, cash or cheque will be accepted at the first rehearsal, in which case a $70 fee applies. Please fill out the Google Registration Form as soon as possible, and then email Mary if you need to pay in person.
Mary Bella, a current ESA Parent, will again be conducting and organizing the group. Mary has a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and a Graduate Opera Diploma. She has 6 years choral conducting experience and 20 years of professional choral singing under her belt, including 15 years with the Canadian Opera Company Chorus. She recently completed an advanced conducting workshop with Amadeus Choir and leading Canadian choral masters, Lydia Adams and Linda Beaupré. Mary has also served choirs for many years as both manager and board president. Mary believes that this choir brings together the broader ESA community in a very special way, in addition to raising funds for our school.
