Cherie Dimaline will be at ESA for the afternoon on Friday February 23rd, 2018.
- Cherie was previously named a Provincial Emerging Artist of the Year, was the first Indigenous writer-in-residence with the Toronto Public Library, has been a writer-in-residence at the UofT… and so much more…
- Author of numerous titles, her most recent novel is the Ontario Library Association’s White Pine nominated The Marrow Thieves…
In addition to being nominated for White Pine, The Marrow Thieves is also:
- the WINNER of the the 2017 Governor General’s Award for Young People’s Literature;
- the WINNER of the 2017 Kirkus Prize; and,
- one of the five (5) shortlisted titles on Canada Reads 2018!
All members of the ESA Community are invited to join us for this very special event.
- Students in select classes will be joining us with their teachers during class time.
- Session One: from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
- Session Two: from 2:10pm to 3:10pm
- Students who are participating in our White Pine Club will be invited to join us for an in-school field trip.
- Any other students who are reading – or have read – The Marrow Thieves will also be invited to attend as an in-school field trip.
Cherie will be signing books while she is at ESA.
Books are available for purchase by all members of the ESA Community.
- Books may be pre-ordered for only $12 (including tax).
- Pre-ordering will be available using School Cash Online between Monday February 12th and Monday February 19th.
- Books will also be available for sale the day of… for $15 (including tax). Cash only.
