The Grade 9 Orientation to all things Library and Tech has begun.
Three (3) Grade 9 Geography classes cycled through the Library today for their first of two (2) days. All Grade 9 Geography classes will spend two (2) days, between now and next Thursday, on their own in the Library.
During these initial sessions we cover the logistical aspects of using the Library and Computer labs, introduce students to their TDSB accounts (including getting them all moving comfortably around inside Academic Workspace (AW) and their TDSB Google Drives), introduce them to the various components of the TDSB/ESA Virtual Library, and begin intital conversations about Academic Honesty, including introducing them to tools to help them be better researchers and writers.
Parents are encouraged to ask the Grade 9 student in their house to give them a tour of Academic Workspace, and take a look at what we’ve done today.
Parents may, independently, explore the various websites and information portals which were recommended to the students by accessing this document.
