MADD Canada seeking Film Extras

Please see the following notice from MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Canada. For more details, please see Mr. Ambrose in Guidance.

As you know, each year MADD Canada produces a School Assembly Program that is presented personally by MADD Reps to about one million students in middle & high schools across Canada.  It’s a 30 minute drama, followed by about 15 mins of pretty hard-hitting scenes of real people talking about the losses of their loved ones.  The MADD Rep follows it up with an empowering discussion with the students.  MADD hopes that in presenting their message in a creative and engaging way it will encourage teenagers to think twice and plan ahead when they’re making social plans…and save lives.  This year we are producing a French version for them as well, that will be made available in Quebec, and likely other French schools elsewhere in Canada.
No DVDs are sold, and MADD Canada doesn’t show the program anywhere but in schools, other than a short promo on their website to help promote the School Assembly Program itself.
This year we’re putting together a “bush party” for one scene and we’re looking for Volunteer Extras!
*THIS QUALIFIES FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS FOR ANY HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS WHO NEED THEM*

It’s a good cause, and one we enjoy contributing to each year.  If one kid calls home for a ride instead of getting behind the wheel of a car, we feel we’ve made a difference.

We are currently in “pre-production” and be locking down details in the next few weeks.
This is an OVERNIGHT shoot, and will be on one of the following dates:
Wed Oct 22
Thur Oct 23
Fri Oct 24
Sat Oct 25

Since we’re putting out this request to several schools, anyone interested should contact Jane Rowan (MJM Media)
