As part of ESA Parent Council’s speakers series on ZOOM, Mondy Stevenson will be speaking on Tuesday May 11 (after the council meeting) on the following topic:
How to communicate in ways teens will hear (and help them cope)
In this presentation, parents will learn how to improve relationships quickly by making small changes in how they speak and relate to their teens. Parents will learn how to engage teens’ thinking and prepare them to cope with life’s difficulties.
Born in Lebanon, Mondy Stevenson resides in Toronto. She is a skilled listener trained at Focusing on Borden, Toronto, and a focusing coach certified by the Focusing Institute in New York. Raising two children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder led her to discover the Association of Parent Support Groups in Ontario (APSGO). Mondy coaches parents of teens who act out and has written a book on the subject (“What if I were a parent?”) inspired by the founder of APSGO, Helen Jones.
