Roofing at ESA

I was happy to post a couple of months ago that we would be having our roof replaced and solar panels installed this year.  As I mentioned in a post last week, we have fans and charcoal filters around the school and have asked for more of them. Even with the fans, the smell is stronger than we were expecting and I am working with the roofers and TDSB staff to try to reduce these ‘odoriferous incursions’.

I have been asked why the school is not having this job done over the summer.  The answer is that there are just too many urgent roofing projects (like ours) for all to be completed over the two months of the summer break.  In order to speed up the project, the roofers have been in on weekends and will, of course, be working over the March Break.  If the weather holds, the roof is projected to be complete at the end of the week after the break (around March 27).

As always, feel free to connect with me if you have any specific questions about this or any other school issue.
