The ESA Library and Social Sciences Dept are pleased to host the Sidra Project for two days (as noted above).
- The Sidra Project is a unique collaboration between the United Nations and Artscape that is designed to sustain interest and support for refugees to ensure their successful resettlement in Canada.
- Take part in an immersive technology experience by viewing the short film Clouds Over Sidra using Samsung Gear VR. We invite you to engage in dialogue about the global refugee crisis and take concrete actions to make a difference.
- Clouds Over Sidra, by United Nations Creative Director Gabo Arora, tells the story of life inside a refugee camp in Jordan through the eyes of a 12-year-old girl named Sidra, placing viewers within the centre of the camp through a 360-degree experience.
PLEASE NOTE THAT… there will be limited access to the Library on each of these days.
- Participation is by invitation only.
- There will be no additional classes booked in on either of these days.
- The Sidra Project will be using the lower level of the Library… staff and students who need access to the Library will be restricted to the upper level.
