On Saturday, October 13th at 7pm, Ben Roberts with help from Sam Peters and Jaek Eastcott, will premiere their first full-length feature “Sockeye” at The Royal Cinema as part of Toronto’s 1K Wave Film Festival.
The challenge was to produce a feature for less than one thousand dollars. Coming in under budget, the film explores one pivotal night in the lives of a father and son, where hidden family secrets surface unexpectedly.
If you can make it out to support this trio of ESA Filmmakers, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a vividly realized picture, anchored by the strong performances and chemistry of its leads.
