Many of you will know that last year we launched a major fundraising project to replace our aging chairs in the theatre. I am very happy to inform you that, with the assistance of our students, staff, parent community and alumni, we were able to raise the money needed to buy new chairs for the auditorium. The Board has approved the project and we have a start date of June 20th! This plan also includes repairs to the ceiling and floor and an expansion of wheelchair seating spaces (these costs covered by the Board).
If you missed out and would still like to get your name/dedication on a chair, the great news is that you are not too late! Please go to our website (esainfo.ca) to see which chairs are still available; it will walk you through the process of purchasing your tax-deductible chair. We will be reaching out to people who ‘bought’ chairs last year in order to get the engraved plaques ready for the install.
I have also asked the contractor to carefully remove 50 chairs so that anyone who would like to own a piece of ESA history can buy one for the amazingly low cost of $100! We will use this money to further enhance the auditorium.
Thanks again for your ongoing support of our wonderful school!
